DANGEROUS GOODS (DG) HANDLING – APT LOGISTICS

With the ever changing technology and advancement is the products of daily applications, an increasing number of everyday items are becoming hazardous e.g. items containing
batteries. Any shipment that involves DG goods requires the application of additional requisites and standards which exceed those required
for non-hazardous goods. These are the items that may endanger the safety of people, the mode of transport, equipment and the environment.

Also known as restricted articles, hazardous materials,  note all freight forwarders are able to take the necessary care required for transport of such goods. Their contracts specifically exclude Dangerous Goods or place additional requirements on the clients.

This is due to the risks involved and their concern that handling Dangerous Goods is a complex activity.
However, by taking necessary actions with respect to the regulations and applying the correct processes these goods can be handled smoothly, safely and without undue complexity.

The transport of goods must be handled carefully to avoid any kind of damage during transit from source to destination.
